British musician mostly known for playing piano and keyboard for Electric Light Orchestra. He also plays bass, and guitar, and does backing vocals for the band. The classical sound of his instrumentals were key parts of albums like A New World Record, and Out of the Blue.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2017 as a member of the Electric Light Orchestra. He met his future bandmate Bev Bevan while the two attended school together in Birmingham, England. He is proficient at playing the Wurlitzer.
