Before Fame

He played for the youth league of Barcelona-SP in São Paulo. He made his professional debut in 1998 with Marcílio Dias. He briefly played for Joinville and União Barbarense. His breakthrough came in 2000 when he joined the Guarani soccer club and excelled during his time there. His involvement caught the attention of the Corinthians Paulista soccer club and led to his transfer in 2001.
