Greco-Roman wrestler who was crowned the winner of the World Wrestling Championships in the 71 kilogram weight class in 2015. He won gold at the European Games the same year and bronze at the Olympic Games the following year.

He is the first person to win a gold medal while being on active duty for the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
