She graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Arts in US History after earning an athletic scholarship from the school.

Trivia

Away from television, she loved to surf and was a competitive national surfer. She also became certified as a ski instructor and surf guide.

Family Life

Both of her parents became eco-activists. Her father was also a surgeon and her mother was a world champion surfer.
