About

Author of the New York Times bestselling book Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. He followed with the book's sequels Hollow City and Library of Souls, eventually penning the companion books Miss Peregrine's Journal for Peculiar Children, Tales of the Peculiar, and graphic novels of the original series.

Before Fame

After graduating from Kenyon College with a degree in English literature, he studied film at the University of Southern California.

Trivia

As a blogger for Mental Floss in his early career, this earned him a job writing the The Sherlock Holmes Handbook to accompany the 2009 feature film.

Family Life

In 2013, he married fellow author, Tahereh Mafi, the creator of the popular novels The Juliette Chronicles.  In May 2017, they welcomed their first child together.

Associated With

Renowned director Tim Burton brought Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children to the silver screen in 2016.
