Guyanese-British actor and musician best known for playing Augustus "Porkpie" Grant in the British comedy Desmond's. He later had his own spin-off series, Porkpie. He also appeared in series' such as Casualty, Death in Paradise, Rocket's Island, Holby City and EastEnders. He made a cameo performance as a poet in the 1985 film My Beautiful Laundrette.

He learned to play the guitar. He began his professional career as a singer in New York City. He moved to England in 1962.
