About
Son of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and husband Prince Daniel and third in line of succession to the Swedish throne, after his mother and older sister Princess Estelle. His full title, His Royal Highness Prince Oscar Carl Olof, Duke of Skane, was announced on Thanksgiving Day by King Carl Gustaf XVI, his maternal grandfather. He is a Knight of the Royal Order of the Seraphim and a Knight of the Order of Charles XIII.
Before Fame
Two 21-gun salutes were performed in his honor on the island of Skeppsholmen, following his 2016 birth at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna.
Trivia
At his christening, he wore the family's ancestral christening gown, first adorned by Prince Gustaf Adolf at his christening in 1906.
