Before Fame
In 1989, he was discovered and mentored by fashion editor Isabella Blow, who wore his designs at important fashion events and helped him break into some of the main fashion houses, particularly Chanel and Givenchy.

He has won British Accessory Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards five times and has received public honors in both Britain and Ireland. He was born in Ahascragh, Galway, Ireland, and received his Bachelor's at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, and his Master's at the Royal College of Art London. He married Stefan Bartlett in 2017.
