Before Fame

He studied at the University of Sydney from 1957 until 1962, then at the University of New South Wales from 1970 until 1975. He founded his first practice with Ian McKay in 1963, then, in 1967, he founded his own Philip Cox and Associates practice.

Family Life

His parents were Ron and May Cox, and he grew up with an older sister, Judith Cox. He married a fellow architect named Louise in April 1972; they had two daughters together, Charlotte and Sophie.
