About
South African vocalist, known as the youngest brother of the group, the Bala Brothers. He gained fame with his older brothers Zwai Bala and Loyiso Bala, when they released their collective albuc, B3 in September 2006. He is also in the reality show, The Bala Family, where he is featured alongside his family. He posts under the handle phelobala on Instagram, where he has 210,000 followers.
Before Fame
His older brother, Zwai joined the Drakensberg Boys' Choir School in 1988, becoming the first black member of the previously segregated group six years before the end of apartheid. He followed in his brothers' footsteps and also attended the Drakensberg Boys' Choir School. On September 28, 2006, the Bala Brothers came out with their first collective album, B3, with Sony BMG Entertainment Africa and began to tour as a group. After Sony BMG dissolved, the brothers released another LP, Live at Emperors Palace, on May 7, 2013, through their own label, Bala Brothers Production.
Trivia
In the year 2011, he joined the award-winning gospel ensemble Joyous Celebration, performing with the group until 2015. He released his self-titled debut solo album in 2011. In 2014, he became a sangoma, a high spiritual honour in indigenous South African culture.
Family Life
He was born into a musical family: his parents met singing in church choirs, and his grandfather was a choral composer. He got married to TV personality Moshe Ndiki in 2019, but they announced the end of the relationship two years later.

In 2013, he performed with the Bala Brothers at the Cape Town Stadium in a memorial service for Nelson Mandela.
