Famous for appearing in a world famous, Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph from the Vietnam War in 1972. In the photo she is nine years old, running away naked and scarred from a napalm strike. She survived the attack and lived a fairly normal life as an adult, becoming a Canadian citizen and sharing her story.

She grew up in the village of Trảng Bàng, which was attacked due to its occupation by North Vietnamese forces.
Trivia
In 1994 she was named a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, and in 1996 gave a speech at the United States Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Veterans Day. She founded the Kim Phúc Foundation International to help child victims of war.
Family Life
She left Vietnam in college due to harassment and travelled to Cuba, where she met her husband Bui Huy Toan, a fellow Vietnamese student.
