About

Best known for his three-decade run as Ed Bauer on the popular soap opera Guiding Light, he also appeared in episodes of As the World Turns and Search for Tomorrow.

Before Fame

After growing up in New York City and New Hampshire (where he attended the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy), he studied and performed on stage at Williams College and Purdue University. 

Trivia

He appeared in an Off-Broadway production of a play titled P.S. Your Cat Is Dead.

Family Life

His second marriage, to fellow soap opera actor Courtney Simon, resulted in one child. His previous marriage, to Merle Louise, produced three children.
