He wrote two books on child protection and the child welfare system in Canada, as well as the host of The Peter Silverman Show. He held a PhD in History from the University of Toronto. His work was also published in Globe & Mail. He also worked in the UK from 1953-1968, serving at The Institute on Race Relations.
