Before Fame
He signed to play professional soccer with Leeds United in May of 1962. He eventually made his Leeds debut at the age of 15 years and 289 days against Southampton on September 29, 1962. He became the youngest player in Leeds' history to play for the first team.
Trivia
After retiring, he became a member of the Leeds board of directors.
Family Life
He lived with his parents, Janet and Peter Lorimer, in Dundee, Scotland. As a child, he played for the Eastern Primary School, as well as the Stobswell Secondary School soccer teams.
