Singer and guitarist most famous as a member of the critically-acclaimed pop-rock band The dB's. He has also been a touring guitarist and keyboardist for the influential Georgia band R.E.M.

Before Fame

He got his start as a member of the band Rittenhouse Square in the early 70's.

Trivia

He moved from New Orleans to Durham, North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

He has a daughter with Susan Cowsill, singer for the family band The Cowsills.
