A storyteller, author, and member of the Serbian Orthodox National Organization, he also founded the magazine Fatherland. His popular short story collections include From the Top and Bottom of a Mountain and Howls from Zmijanje.

He attended the University of Vienna and went on to become a contributor to the first Bosnian literary magazine, The Bosnian Muse.
