Southern rock, blues, and gospel singer and songwriter known for his diverse range of styles within music. He is known for his work with A&M Records and Perpetual Obscurity Records and for his albums "Don't Let the Devil Ride" and "A Long Way from Tupelo". 

Before Fame

Prior to music, he was a professional boxer. After winning several middleweight championships, he began performing at clubs where he was eventually discovered by Miles Copeland. After gaining an opening spot for Sting, he signed a recording contract with A&M Records. His debut album Hammer & Nail was released in 1997.

The Mississippi House of Representatives names March 27th, "Paul Thorn Day" in recognition of the consistent support for his home state.
