Canadian radio and television presenter, actor, and comedian known for his long broadcasting career, for hosting the radio show Le Québec Maintenant, for hosting the game show Le Cercle, and for regularly contributing to the show 3600 secondes d'extase.
Before Fame
He pursued higher education at the École Polytechnique de Montréal and the Université de Montréal, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography in 1979. He began working in broadcasting in 1975 at CKAC 730 AM. He then began working at CKMF-FM in 1979. He would later work at CFGL-FM in 1982, where he remained until 1991. He joined CHMP-FM 98.5, where he hosted Le Québec Maintenant in 2007.
Trivia
He had a profound interest in astronomy, which was reflected in the choice of the Montreal Planetarium as the venue for his public wake. He disclosed that he was diagnosed with autism in 2023.
Family Life
He was born and raised in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, Canada. His father Paul Houde Sr. was a saxophonist, and his mother Aline Achim was a homemaker. He had two siblings. He married Francine Audette on July 10th, 1982. They had two sons. He died on March 2nd, 2024 due to complications following a surgery.
