She was married to Maurizio Gucci in 1970 and became a New York socialite after receiving a penthouse from Gucci's father Rodolfo Gucci. In 1982 the couple moved back to Milan. In 1985, Gucci announced the marriage was over. The two were officially divorced in 1994.
