Belgian actor who established a presence in the French New Wave and New German Cinema movements from the 1960s to the early 1980s. After playing Scarpine in 1985's A View to a Kill, he began to achieve mainstream fame through American film and television. Some of his other notable credits include The Rapture, Panic Room, House M.D., and Burn Notice.

He studied Modern Languages at the University of Oxford.
Trivia
He was nominated for a Gemini Award in 1988 for his role on the soap opera Mount Royal. He appeared in the documentary Dario Argento's World of Horror.
Family Life
In 1962, he married Mijanou Bardot, the younger sister of Brigitte Bardot. His father, Henry Bauchau, was a psychoanalyst and a friend of Albert Camus.
