Well-known for her high-profile love affairs, she was, at various points, involved with United States ambassador John Hay Whitney, American broadcaster W. Averell Harriman, and Italian businessman Gianni Agnelli, among many others.

Family Life

Her seven-year marriage to Randolph Churchill resulted in her only child; in honor of his famous grandfather, she named her son Winston Churchill. Her second marriage was to Broadway and Hollywood producer Leland Hayward; her third husband, William Averell Harriman, was a Democratic politician and diplomat.
