He worked as an accompanist for such singers as Brigitte Fassbaender, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Hermann Prey, Margaret Price, and Anneliese Rothenberger.
Trivia
He taught at the Würzburg School of Music and Drama from 1983 until 1991 after which he accepted a professorship at Vienna's University of Music and Performing Arts.
Family Life
His family was living in Pennsylvania when he was born, but he chose to move to Vienna, Austria, in 1955 where he continued to reside for most of his life.
Associated With
He and fellow Pennsylvania native Fred Rogers were born around the same time. Rogers also used puppets extensively on his television show.
