English architect known for his work within the high-tech architecture movement. In 1967, he founded Foster + Partners, which grew to be the largest architectural practice in the United Kingdom. His architectural designs include the HSBC Main Building in Hong Kong, The Bund Finance Center in Shanghai, and 30 St Mary Axe in London.

He studied architecture at the University of Manchester and Yale University.
