Singer, songwriter, and bandleader widely considered to have been massively impactful upon the Congolese music industry and African music landscape altogether. He has been referred to as an "Ambassador for Peace" by the United Nations Global Compact and is largely acknowledged as a "people's singer." He has released albums such as "Temoignage" and "Formidable," as well as singles including "I Found a Way" and "Conscience Bela." 

Before Fame

He co-founded the band Wenge Musica Maison Mère (WMMM) in 1997 and they released their first album, "Force d'Intervention Rapide" the following year. Their 2nd album, "Solola Bien," earned a Gold Record in France. In 2001, he began his solo career and released his 1st solo album "Kibuisa Mpimpa." 

Trivia

He earned 2 Kora Awards for his 1st solo album, "Kibuisa Mpimpa," including Best Artist in Africa and Best Album in Central Africa. 

Family Life

He is the son of Théo Musoko and Albertine Mukala. He married Sylvie Mpata Masaki in 1990 and they have 2 daughters named Gladie and Exaucée.

During his world tour, he performed with artists such as Manu Dibango and Doc Gyneco. He has also collaborated with well-known rapper and singer/songwriter Shaggy.
