About
Twentieth-century Macedonian expressionist painter who became known for his portraits. He began his most famous painting "Mother with Child" in the 1930s, but did not finish it until the 1960s.
Before Fame
He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest, Romania, in 1927 and had his first exhibition two years later in Skopje.
Trivia
He was mentored by Polish artist Moise Kisling during his time in Paris.
Family Life
He left 116 of his never-before-exhibited paintings to his family. These works were shown to the public for the first time in 2003 at the Skopje Art Gallery.
Associated With
He was a contemporary of Croatian expressionist artist Vilco Gecan.
