Nija Charles

About

American pop singer and record producer who is best recognized for her songwriting career. She has written songs for several famous stars including Beyoncé and Jay-Z and is signed herself to the Universal Music Publishing Group. In 2022, she released her own debut EP titled Don't Say I Didn't Warn You.

Before Fame

She attended the Clive David Institute of Recorded Music at New York University where she studied songwriting and producing. After finishing school, she signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group in 2017. Her first major project was with the artist Kid Ink on the song "F with U" featuring Ty Dolla Sign. 

Trivia

Several of the songs she has written have gone platinum including the Cardi B track "Ring" and "Pull Up" by Chris Brown. She also wrote the song "Nobody's Love" for Maroon 5.

Family Life

She was born and raised in Union, New Jersey and was introduced to music through her aunt and uncle who created music through the production software Fruity Loops which she learned on.
