About
Best known as the lead singer of a French new wave rock band called Indochine, this popular vocalist also released a 1992 solo album titled Dans la Lune. His albums with Indochine include Alice & June (a double platinum recording that reached #1 on French music charts) and Paradize (a 2002 album that received widespread critical acclaim).
Before Fame
He and guitarist Dominique Nicolas co-founded Indochine in Paris, France, in the early 1980s. Their band released its debut album, L'Aventurier, in 1982.
Trivia
A writer as well as a vocalist, he published his first short story collection, Les Mauvaises Nouvelles, in the late 1990s.
Family Life
His twin, guitarist and keyboardist Stéphane Sirkis, was also a member of Indochine. Sadly, Stéphane passed away from hepatitis in early 1999.
