In late September of 1994, two Italian robbers, mistaking Nicholas' family for jewelers, pursued the Greens' rental car and eventually shot into it, their bullet piercing Nicholas' skull.

Family Life
He and his sister Eleanor grew up in the Bodega Bay region of California as the children of Margaret and Reginald Green. Two years after his death, his mother gave birth to fraternal twins Martin and Laura.
