Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers during the 2015 MLB Draft. He was later acquired by the Pittsburgh Pirates via trade in July 2021. Prior to being drafted, he was a twice named a member of the first team All-ACC, an All-American and ACC Pitcher of the Year as a collegiate baseball player at the University of Virginia.
Before Fame
He began his professional baseball career playing for the Brewers' single-A affiliate team the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He pitched in just five games for the Timber Rattlers before having his season shutdown for Tommy John surgery.
Trivia
He threw his first and only collegiate no-hitter pitching against the University of Pittsburgh Panthers on April 4, 2014. In that game he racked up 18 strikeouts, which was a career high.
