Former NFL receiver who was a two-time Pro Bowler as a member of the Carolina Panthers from 1996 to 2004 and from 2008 to 2009. He helped lead the Panthers to Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004, where he set a Super Bowl record for the longest reception touchdown with an 85-yard score. His team, however, lost 32-29 to the New England Patriots.
Before Fame
He competed in football, basketball and track at Waverly High School in Lansing, Michigan, then went on to excel at Michigan State University under head coach Nick Saban.
Trivia
Between his two stints with the Panthers, he played for the Chicago Bears from 2005 to 2007, helping take the Bears to Super Bowl XLI, where they were defeated by the Indianapolis Colts 29-17.

He had four daughters and two sons with his wife Christa Muhammad.
