Liberian politician who served as Vice President of Liberia under President Charles Taylor from 2000 to 2003. He became the 23rd President of Liberia in August of 2003 after Charles Taylor resigned but only served for two months before a United Nations-backed transitional government, headed by Gyude Bryant, was sworn in.
