South African musician and dancer best known for her albums Rabulapha! and Phases and the hit song "iWalk Ye Phara". She is also known for her signature blue-colored hair and her self-created music genre she describes as "future ghetto punk." In August 2018, she went on a European tour with the South African hip-hop group Die Antwoord. She is also known for singing in the song My Power on Beyoncé's 2019 album Lion King: The Gift. 

Before Fame

Her given name is Sanelisiwe Twisha. She studied fashion at the Linea Fashion Design Academy in Durban, South Africa. She started performing in shows at Durban University of Technology in 2006. She was featured regularly on a weekend radio show called Poetry with King Siso. She released her studio album Rabulapha! in 2015. 

Trivia

She has a clothing label called Moonchild Cultwear.  She considered becoming a psychologist during college. She is from the Xhosa tribe and often uses the Xhosa language in her songs.

Family Life

She was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She was born into a musical family. Her mother was a jazz singer who owned a jazz club and her brother produced hip-hop. Her mother passed away while she was away at college when she was only 17 years old. She has three daughters. 

Associated With

She collaborated with the musical group Gorillaz on The Now Now Tour in 2018, the same year she toured with Die Antwoord. She collaborated with fellow African musician Busiswa Gqulu on Beyonce's 2019 album Lion King: The Gift.
