She decided to stop surfing competitively as competition interferes with her peaceful outlook on life. She started world free surfing, and became a model and swimsuit designer with Roxy.

She married Olamana Eleogram. Her maiden name is Byrne-Wickey. Her mom Susie Byrne was a high school vice principal and her father Tony Wickey was a carpenter.
