Before Fame
She wanted to be an artist since preschool and, in elementary school, after being diagnosed with dyslexia and struggling with letters and numbers, she honed in even more on the subject she excelled at: art. She has been a seamstress since 2005, working for nearly 10 years as an interior designer making window treatments, upholstery, and bedding. She found the job both stressful and boring, and in 2014, after making a cicada sculpture for a friend's birthday, decided to leave her job and become a full-time artist.

She makes both natural and magical fabric sculptures designed to look like an array of different creatures, mainly insects, but also crustaceans, isopods, and even mammals like bats. The majority of her work is done by hand with pins, needles, and paintbrushes. She also uses a vintage iron and sewing machine.
