He was famous for his catchphrase 'let's get it on,' which was used on MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch, and presided over the court television show Judge Mills Lane in the late 90s and early 2000s.
Before Fame
He began boxing while serving the United States Marine Corps and became the NCAA Boxing Champion while attending the University of Nevada, Reno.
Trivia
The city of Reno, Nevada proclaimed December 27 "Mills Lane Day" in 2004. He was inducted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame in August of 2013.

He married Kaye Pierce in 1980. He has children named Terry and Tommy.
