At the age of 17, he started his training at House of Champions in Stoney Creek, Ontario, under the guidance of Kru Alin Halmagean.

While pursuing his post-secondary education at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he took the opportunity to further his martial arts training at Titans MMA. He has accumulated over 60,000 followers on Instagram. 

Family Life

He is from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. His younger brother is Jeff Malott, a professional hockey player who plays for the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.
