Before Fame
He started out as a storyboard artist, working on Danny Boyle's Trainspotting and The Winter Guest, Alan Rickman's directorial debut. He made his feature film directorial debut in 2010 with Repo Men, starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker.

He is credited with coming up with the idea of having three different types of dragons on House of the Dragon.
