Chef who is famous as the owner and proprietor of the Mina Group of his self-titled restaurants in San Francisco and Las Vegas, which has earned him a Michelin star. He released his first cookbook Michael Mina: The Cookbook in November 2006 to critical acclaim.
Before Fame
He began his collegiate career at the University of Washington, where he worked at a high paced restaurant in the Space Needle. He finished his education at the Culinary Institute of America.
Trivia
He opened the Mina Brasserie restaurant in 2018 in Dubai. In 2011, his namesake restaurant in San Francisco was named Esquire's Restaurant of the Year.

He was born in Cairo, Egypt. He was subsequently raised in Ellensburg, Washington.
