Brooklyn-based artist whose work was influential by the street art scene in New York an Europe. He was best known for his colorful and vibrant blend of pop-art and abstract expressionism. He passed away in May of 2021, but his wheat-pasted posters and images are still-visible across many urban landscapes. His bastny estate Instagram has continued to pay homage to his work and ongoing exhibitions.

He remained largely out of the public eye until his work evolved to gallery-exhibition status in the mid-2000s.
Trivia
He has been credited with influencing the collective artist group FAILE, who is known for their varied multimedia works recognizable for its blend of appropriation and collage. He collaborated with the group on numerous occasions, and their work together has been displayed in the streets as well as in joint exhibitions.
