English-born American rapper known for his "super villain" stage persona. He's popular for hits such as "Rhymes Like Dimes," "DOOMsday," and "Rapp Snitch Knishes."
Before Fame
He began freestyling at open-mic events at the Nuyorican Poets Café in Manhattan 1997 and first gained the rap name MC Dan. He was in the 1988 trio KMD, known then as Zev Love X. During this time, group member and brother Dingilizwe Dumile died, leading to the group disbanding in 1993.

Family Life
He was born Daniel Dumile; his mother gave him the nickname "Doom" as a child. His older brother was DJ Subroc.
