Before Fame
By the time she was just 8 years old, she had already established a prosperous career for herself in the jingle singing and acting business. One of her earliest stage roles was starring as Mary Lennox in the famed musical production The Secret Garden. She went on to portray numerous additional theatre roles and in 1990, she earned her breakout television role as Mallory Pike on the revered adventure-comedy family series The Baby-Sitters Club. She went on to study vocal performance at the High School of Music and Art in New York and later attended the Conservatory of Acting at the State University of New York at Purchase.
Trivia
She received a Best Young Actress Starring in a New Television Series nomination from the 1992 Young Artists Awards for her performance in the David Keith and Lisa Darr co-starring comedy series Flesh 'n' Blood. She portrayed the leading role of Beauty Weed in all of the short-lived series' 12 episodes.
Family Life
She is the daughter of George and Jo D. Andrews, both of whom helped to produce her 2006 debut album "Center of Gravity."
