Brazilian funk singer and songwriter known for his songs "Glamurosa", "Princesa", "Rap do Solitário", "Garota nota 100" and "Tudo é festa", which were especially popular during the 1990s. He died in August 2023 after suffering multiple health complications.
Before Fame
He showed an interest in music from a very young age. He found his true passion in funk. His first studio album Porque Te Amo was released in 1997. He performed on the Furacão 2000 show. Though he didn't win, he became more well-known. He fully broke out into the funk scene with the hit "Glamurosa" in 2001.
Trivia
He suffered a near-fatal car accident in 2006. At one point, he was performing while in a wheelchair before he recovered. He ended up having a pacemaker.
Family Life
His full birth name was Márcio André Nepomuceno Garcia. He was born and raised in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His father was a carpenter and samba dancer. He fathered five children. He married Kelly Garcia in 2008 and they divorced in 2023 right before his death.
