Matt Joseph McMahon

About

Men's collegiate basketball coach that received his first head coaching job with the Murray State Racers in 2015. During his seven years at Murray State, he won three OVC Championships and four OVC regular season titles. In March 2022, he was given a multi-year deal to coach the Louisiana State University men's basketball coach.

Before Fame

Prior to his coaching career, he played shooting guard at Appalachian State University. He eventually began his coaching career at his Alma mater as a student assistant. 

Trivia

After leading his team to an 18-0 finish in the Ohio Valley Conference, he broke a Murray State program record. Following that season, he was named OVC Coach of the Year in 2022. 

Family Life

He grew up living with his family in the Oak Ridge, Tennessee area. He now lives with his wife and their two children.
