Marv Levy

About

Hall of Fame football coach in both the American and Canadian leagues. He won four consecutive AFC Championships with the Buffalo Bills from 1990 to 1993. He was the head coach at William & Mary between 1964 and 1968. 

Before Fame

After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines Air Force to fight against Nazi Germany.

Trivia

After serving in WWII, he did not like people using war metaphors for sports. 

Family Life

His father was a decorated World War I veteran.

He selected the young and unknown Bill Walsh as his coaching assistant for the Cal Bears in 1960.
