This Croatian rower is an Olympic gold medalist and the world record holder for the 6000m on the indoor rower, with a time of 1:30.4. He has 1,000 subscribers on YouTube and 50,000 followers on Instagram. He rows in competitions with his older brother Valent, with whom he won the gold medal in men's double sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Before Fame

As he told the Wisconsin Press Times during a visit back in 2019, Sinkovic got into rowing when he was 9. "I have another older brother who saw rowing on television, and he liked it. After I saw he had a good time, I started to row and Valent started rowing, too. My parents didn't row but enjoy watching us when they can."

Trivia

He is an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers of the NFL. He happened to catch a Packers game in November of 2016. In 2019, he and his wife made a trip to Wisconsin just to see the Packers play. As he explained to the Press Time at that visit:  "I'm a huge fan, and it was my dream to come to Lambeau and watch a game live. I got the time off after the World Championships and was able to come. It was perhaps the greatest 10 days of my life."

Family Life

He and his older brother Valent have been racing together internationally since 2008 and have won many medals together, as a pair and as part of a quadruple boat. As brothers, the Sinkovićes became were the first men's double sculls team to go under 6 minutes for their race time.

Associated With

The Sinković brothers are practically inseparable in and out of the boat. After taking gold in the men's pairs in the Tokyo 2021 Olympics, the brothers became the dominant rowers' pair after the retirement of New Zealand rowers Eric Murray and Hamish Bond.
