Canadian canoe sprinter known for winning the bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics. He set a world record for speed in the 200 meter sprint in 2014. He's won gold medals at both the World Championships and Pan Am games.
Before Fame
He started Kayaking when he was 13 and moved from Calgary to Halifax to help his youth career. He tried out for the 2004 and 2008 Olympics, but wasn't selected for either team.

He studied Civil Engineering at Dalhousie University and works as an engineer when not training. Air Canada named him the athlete of the year in 2015.
