Journalist who is best known for her work with MSNBC and NBC News Miami where she covers a range of both domestic and international issues. She has won several honors and awards for her investigative reporting including a National Headliner Award for uncovering a secret Government prison in Venezuela. 

Before Fame

She attended the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas before earning a scholarship from Columbia University's School of Journalism where she earned her Masters. After working her way through reporting jobs and landing a spot as an anchor on Fusion TV and Univision, she joined MSNBC and NBC news in 2017. 

Trivia

Due to her coverage on the 2013 scandal Operation Fast and Furious, she was awarded both a Peabody Award and an Investigative Reporters and Editors Award. 

Family Life

She is the eldest of three children and is also known for having married Jose Antonio Torbay.

She was a part of the student movement that emerged after then president Hugo Chavez shut down Radio Caracas Television.
