About

Queen of Scotland from 1503 until 1513 as the wife of James IV of Scotland. She became queen dowager, or widow queen, and then queen regent after the death of her husband. She would later marry twice more and ultimately died in 1541.

She grew up in London with her siblings Prince ArthurHenry VIII of England, and her sister Mary Tudor.

Trivia

She was named after Margaret Beaufort, Countess of Richmond and Derby. She was a follower of Roman Catholicism. 

Family Life

Her parents were Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. She had six children with her husband, but only one made it to adulthood. Her second marriage was to Archibald Douglas, 6th Earl of Angus in 1514, but later divorced him before marrying Henry Stewart, 1st Lord Methven in 1527.
