Professional shortstop that was drafted fourth overall by the Boston Red Sox during the 2021 Major League Baseball Draft. He attended Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, California, where he was named the National High School Player of the Year.

Before Fame

Prior to being drafted by the Red Sox, he committed to play college baseball at the University of Southern California after his freshman year of high school. 

Trivia

During his final high school at-bat, he hit a grand slam. He hit over .392 with 14 home runs and 45 RBIs during his senior year.

He is a native of Chula Vista, California. His parents are named Enrique and Myriam Mayer.
