Professional rugby union player who has played as a utility back for the United Rugby Championship team, the Stormers, and for Western Province in the Currie Cup. He has also played for the South African national team, the Springboks, and other professional teams such as the Vodacom Bulls and the Sharks. He has also played as a fullback, fly-half, winger, and center. 

Before Fame

He started his youth career with the Eastern Province Kings in 2013 and later moved on to play with the SWD Eagles. He also played youth rugby internationally in the U-16, U-18 and U-20 series. He earned his college degree in human movement science from Stellenbosch University. While attending, he played rugby for the university's team, the Maties, and was named the South African Rugby Union's Young Player of the Year in 2017.

He was named to the Springboks' year-end tour squad in October 2022. During the team's opening game in the 2023 World Cup against Scotland, he enacted a no-look kick-pass to teammate Kurt-Lee Arendse, which resulted in a try for the team.

His birth name is Immanuel Libbok. He and his high school sweetheart, Verna-Lee Arries, became engaged on July 1, 2023. The pair met while attending Outeniqua High School in George, South Africa. Aries is a professional ballroom and Latin dancer.
